Our 1657 Chocolate House is situated on the cobbled street of Branthwaite Brow, in the centre of Kendal, the gateway to England’s Lake District.

We offer you an opportunity step back in time, enjoy a taste of Old English charm, and discover the delights of chocolate in all its different forms.

In our Shop, an Aladdin's Cave of chocolate awaits you, with hundreds of handmade chocolates, unusual chocolate gift ideas and hand ribboned gift boxes.

Our Restaurant serves 18 speciality chocolate drinks, 14 handmade chocolate gateaux from our own secret recipes and light snacks. All served by our ladies in traditional 17th Century dress.
